2009 GCSAA
Board of Director Candidates
The 2008 Nominating Committee met via conference call on September
9th to ratify the slate of candidates for the 2009 GCSAA Board of Directors. The following Class A members
of GCSAA have been nominated and will appear on the ballot at the Annual Meeting and Election in New Orleans on February 6,
2009.
President

Vice-President – James R. Fitzroy,
CGCS (Wollaston Recreational Facility/Presidents Golf Course – North Quincy, MA)
Secretary/Treasurer – Sanford G.
Queen, CGCS (City of Overland Park – Overland Park, KS) and Robert M. Randquist, CGCS
(Boca Rio Golf Club – Boca Raton, FL)
Directors
(electing three) – Peter J. Grass, CGCS (Hilands Golf Club – Billings, MT); Keith A.
Ihms, CGCS (Country Club of Little Rock – Little Rock, AR); John J. O'Keefe, CGCS (Preakness
Hills Country Club – Wayne, NJ); and Jay D. Stine III, CGCS (Brookhaven Country Club – McKinney,
TX)
There are three positions open for director this year, as Keith Ihms and Robert Randquist are both at the
end of their two-year director's terms and John O’Keefe is completing a one-year appointment.
Patrick R. Finlen, CGCS will remain on the
board with one year remaining in his two-year director's term and David S. Downing II, CGCS will serve on the board
as Immediate Past President during 2009. Ricky D. Heine, CGCS will be retiring from the GCSAA Board of
Directors.
