    About Deep Springs CC:

    Deep Springs Country Club is a member owned private club located approximately 30 minutes north of Greensboro, NC.  The club currently has approximately 375 members.  Facilities include: Clubhouse with golf shop, locker rooms, snack bar, dining room, banquet room and lounge; Championship Golf Course; Practice Green and Tee; 2 Clay Tennis Courts and Swimming Pool Complex.  The club was founded in 1969 and boasts an Ellis Maples designed golf course which is regarded as the finest in the area. 

     

    The golf course has Champion Ultradwarf Bermuda greens, Bermuda tees, fairways, rough and approximately 60 bunkers.

     

    The facility is managed by the Carolinas Golf Group.

     

    Position Summary:

    Responsible for the operation of the Golf Course and Grounds Maintenance Department.  Reports directly to the General Manager.  Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:  manage and maintain golf course properties including golf course, clubhouse grounds, landscaping, open spaces, clay tennis courts and the equipment used to maintain these areas; Personnel Management and Training; Budgeting/Forecasting; Irrigation Systems; Chemical Applications and related recordings and compliance of regulatory issues.  Supervise the safe use and maintenance of golf course mechanical equipment and comply with OSHA, club safety, state and federal guidelines for safe working conditions.  Provide technical, operational and safety training for employees.  Work with the golf professional to maximize rounds of golf and communicate effectively with the membership concerning maintenance practices.

     

    Job Requirements:

    A degree in horticulture, turf management, or equivalent experience required.  Must have a minimum of four years in golf course maintenance, including at least one year in a supervisory position.  Must have knowledge of all aspects of turf grass management and related equipment.  Must have experience in management of bermuda grass greens.  Must have required License/Certifications needed to apply necessary chemicals.  Must be familiar with OSHA, local Department of Health regulations and current relevant laws governing handling of hazardous substances.  English fluency required.  Spanish fluency helpful.  Must be highly motivated, a good team player and detail oriented.  Must have the ability to effectively manage and train staff.
